Entre Amigxs, which translates to between (queer) friends, is a film about being trans in Mexico City.
The film spotlights five trans and gender expansive artists living in Mexico City — their views on art, community, queerness, and living beyond labels. Part documentary, part fashion film, Entre Amigxs explores the complex dynamics of living as queer in a culture dominated by conservative & religious values. It explores how family is formed and how the community fights against the dominant paradigm to create space for themselves.
The film is comprised of Super 8 footage, 16MM film, and camcorder clips of moments between friends.
